About the Conference
Languages have long served as broad gateways that facilitate understanding of the customs, traditions, values, and diverse cultures of peoples and societies. Based on the ability of these linguistic forces to bridge gaps between East and West and to transcend intellectual conflicts, the College of Languages, through its academic platforms, seeks, via its Third International Conference titled “Foreign Languages: Prospects for Interaction and Communication with Arab and Eastern Cultures,” to sustain human dialogue and examine the interaction and cultural exchange of languages in different communities.
Given the civilizational role of languages in overcoming barriers through cooperation with other peoples, and considering the impact of this role on integrating cultural dimensions and flourishing translation to understand the thought and culture of other societies, this scholarly event aims to encourage research projects and enrich academic experiences. It seeks to promote critical readings that contribute to building a shared and diverse human awareness that values linguistic diversity without compromising linguistic identity. The college’s activities will not be limited to presenting research papers; there will also be space for panel sessions, academic discussions, and art exhibitions alongside this academic gathering.
